William Chapin Seitz papers [manuscript], 1924, 1952-1987.

The papers consist chiefly of Seitz's work pertaining to Claude Monet including correspondence, articles, historical notes, lectures, postcards, clippings, reviews, and art museum and show indexes. The collection also contains black-and-white photographs, slides,transparencies, and negatives of landscape scenes visited and painted by Monet, and of paintings by Monet and others. In addition the collection contains articles by Seitz and others on Paul Cézanne, Impressionism, and modern and abstract art, and a combined general art bibliography and Monet bibliography on index cards. Correspondents include Henry Sorensen, Charles W. Millard, Leonard J.A. Parish and Jusith C. Di Meo.
